Resumo: The aim of this paper is to propose an interpretation of the first section of the argument on Anamnesis, in the Phaedo. My objective is to “save” “sense-perceptions” (aisthêseis) from the criticism they are submitted to in other sections of dialogue. Contrary to what is stated in many places, sense-perceptions are not only the initial moment of the reminiscence of Forms, as they themselves promote the “knowledge” of the sensible world through their “reference” to Forms.

O objetivo deste texto é propor uma interpretação da primeira seção do argumento da anamnese, no Fédon, que “salve” as “senso-percepções” (aisthêseis) das críticas a que são submetidas noutras seções do diálogo. Ao contrário do que em muitos lugares se afirma, as senso-percepções não só constituem o momento inicial da reminiscência da Formas, como elas próprias promovem o “conhecimento” do sensível pelo fato de sempre se “referirem” às Formas inteligíveis.
