Resumo: The purpose of this article is to examine the position of finance capital in relation to labor and union issues in the Brazilian context from 2011 to 2021. To do so, we analyze the content of the "Financial Sector Agenda" produced by the National Confederation of Financial Institutions (CNF), the highest representation office of the Brazilian financial institutions. Throughout this period, the CNF treated labor rights as inhibitors of economic growth, causes of unemployment and obstacles to the competitiveness of companies. This conservative position played a relevant role in the debate and in the elaboration of measures that promoted the reduction of labor rights and imposed limits to the workers' claiming action through the primacy of the negotiated over the legislated in labor relations.

Ao longo do referido período, a CNF tratou os direitos trabalhistas como inibidores do crescimento econômico, causadores do desemprego e obstáculos para a competitividade das empresas.
