Gastronomia nos desenhos animados: cultura alimentar japonesa em shokugeki no souma

This work of exploratory character has as main objective to analyze how the Japanese food culture appears in the plot of the anime (Japanese cartoon) titled Shokugeki no Souma. The theoretical basis of the research brings the possible origin of three main elements: Japanese food culture, manga (Japanese comics) and anime. It also brings a brief history of the early Japanese titles that had some relation with the gastronomy, either directly in the story, or as a secondary element. Data collection was done through documentary research in books and websites, and analysis of episodes of the series. At the end of the analysis, it was noticed that the series brings several elements of the gastronomy, especially of the Japanese food culture, being the majority of them representations faithful or very close to the reality of cultural elements, techniques, uses of real inputs and preparations, proving various elements presented in the theoretical framework, fulfilling the objective of exposing the various elements of Japanese food culture.
