O presente trabalho versa sobre a questão extratextual da narrativa literária, o livro como produto. O objetivo deste artigo é verificar como se dá a circulação do conjunto de contos As crônicas de Nárnia, de C. S. Lewis, no mercado editorial, sob o rótulo de literatura juvenil. Para tanto, o artigo divide-se em quatro partes: A primeira trata do leitor extratextual, com base nos estudos de Pierre Bourdieu, Robert Darnton e Vera Aguiar. A segunda, a qual aborda a questão da literatura juvenil, fundamenta-se nas pesquisas de Mário Corso, Jaime Padrino e Alice Martha; Na terceira seção, tem-se informações sobre o autor do conjunto de textos a ser utilizado; e, por fim, a quarta parte trata da análise da obra escolhida enquanto produto.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Leitura. The purpose of this article is to verify how is the circulation of the collection of tales The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, in publishing, under the label of juvenile literature.Thus, the article is divided in four sections: The first deals with the extratextual reader, based on the studies of Pierre Bourdieu, Robert Darnton and Vera Aguiar; The second, which addresses the issue of juvenile literature, is based on the research of Mario Corso, Jaime Padrino and Alice Martha; In the third section, there is information about the author of the collection of texts that will be used; and, finally, the fourth part leads with the analysis of the work chosen as a product.KEYWORDS: Reading.
