Sertanejo’s world: love betrayed and Bolsonaro

Resumo: This text sought to find confluences between two movements perceived in the universe of sertaneja music in the last years: in the political scenario, the almost total support of the singers to the candidate Bolsonaro, in the name of the order and the use of arms; in songs, the theme of affective-sexual relationships with an emphasis on the “suffering” bias, the lyrical ego that undergoes separation, faces unstable relations and stronger women. Zizek, through the (Lacanian) concept of point de capiton, helped us to understand the cohesion of disparate ideological elements within a conservative discursive formation delineated by a model of masculinity.

Zizek, through the (Lacanian) concept of point de capiton, helped us to understand the cohesion of disparate ideological elements within a conservative discursive formation delineated by a model of masculinity.Este texto buscó encontrar confluencias entre dos movimientos percibidos en el universo de la música sertaneja en los últimos años: en el escenario político, el apoyo casi total de los cantantes al candidato Bolsonaro, en nombre del orden y el uso de armas; en las canciones, el tema de las relaciones afectivo-sexuales con énfasis en el sesgo del “sufrimiento”, del yo lírico que sufre la separación, enfrenta relaciones inestables y mujeres más fuertes. Zizek, a través del concepto (lacaniano) de point de capiton, nos ayudó a comprender la cohesión de elementos ideológicos dispares dentro de una formación discursiva conservadora, perfilada por un modelo de masculinidad.Este texto buscou encontrar confluências entre dois movimentos percebidos no universo da música sertaneja nos últimos anos: no cenário político, o apoio quase total dos cantores ao candidato Bolsonaro, em nome da ordem e do uso de armas; nas músicas, a temática dos relacionamentos afetivo-sexuais com ênfase no viés da “sofrência”, do eu lírico que sofre a separação, enfrenta relações instáveis e mulheres mais fortes.
