Challenges of systematization of nursing care in palliative care in cancer: a complexity perspective

Resumo: | doi: 10.5216/ree.v12i3.7274This is a qualitative study that aimed to analyze the factors involved in the process of systematization's implementation of nursing care reported by nurses working in the unit of palliative care in oncology, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro / Brazil. The study was conducted in 2008. The survey was conducted with eight nurses. Data were collected through a focal group, and submitted to analysis of thematic contents from the perspective of complexity. The systematization of nursing care can be regarded as a major search of the nurses towards the qualification and humanization of care. For nurses, besides the lack of human resources and knowledge related to the theme, in the context of performance, the multiple and complex facets care of customer and family give more complexity to the deployment process of the systematization of nursing care, indicating that it needs to be structured from dynamic and flexible references, able to integrate the disciplinary knowledge in the recognition of human being as complex. Thus, the systematization of nursing care is presented as a challenge, which indicates the need for further investigations to the continuous improvement of nursing practice. El estudio se realizó en 2008 y participaron ocho enfermeras. La técnica utilizada para la recolección de los datos fue el grupo focal. Los datos fueron analizados según el análisis de contenido, por la perspectiva de la complejidad. La sistematización de la asistencia de enfermería puede ser considerada como una búsqueda más importante de las enfermeras hacia la cualificación y la humanización de la atención. Para las enfermeras, además de la falta de recursos humanos y conocimientos relacionados con el tema, en el contexto de la actuación, las necesidades múltiples y complejas del cliente y la familia darle más complejidad al proceso de implementación de la SAE, lo que indica que hay que ser estructurada a partir de referencia dinámica y flexible, capaz de integrar los conocimientos disciplinarios en el reconocimiento del ser humano tan complejo. Por lo tanto, la SAE aparece como un desafío, lo que indica la necesidad de nuevas investigaciones para la mejora continua de la práctica de enfermería. Descriptores: Enfermería Oncológica; Planificación de Atención al Paciente; Cuidados Paliativos.doi: 10.5216/ree.v12i3.7274Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, que objetivou analisar os fatores intervenientes no processo de implantação da sistematização da assistência de enfermagem (SAE) referidos por enfermeiros que atuam na unidade de internação de um hospital especializado em cuidados paliativos na oncologia, localizado no município do Rio de Janeiro - Brasil. O estudo foi realizado no ano de 2008 e participaram oito enfermeiras. A técnica de coleta de dados utilizada foi o grupo focal, e os dados foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo, sob a perspectiva da complexidade. A SAE pode ser entendida como uma das grandes buscas dos enfermeiros em prol da qualificação e humanização do cuidado. Para as enfermeiras, além do déficit de recursos humanos e de conhecimento relacionado à temática, no contexto de atuação, as múltiplas e complexas dimensões de cuidado do cliente e da família conferem maior complexidade ao processo de implantação da SAE, indicando que a mesma precisa ser estruturada a partir de referenciais dinâmicos e flexíveis, capazes de integrar os saberes disciplinares no reconhecimento do ser humano como ser complexo. Dessa forma, a SAE apresenta-se como um desafio, o que indica a necessidade de novas investigações para o aprimoramento contínuo da prática de enfermagem.
