THE NECESSITIES OF HEALTH IN THE WORLD OF SILENCE: A DIALOGUE WITH THE DEAF PEOPLE

Resumo: This research is a qualitative study and the objective is: analyze the necessities related to the health of deaf people. The categories were: extrinsic and intrinsic necessities of health. The first one is related to educational and informative aspects about specific themes about health, because of necessity of explanation or because of curiosity; the second category is related to the communication as being the biggest difficulty in the access of the deaf to the services of health and discrimination in the treatment offered by the professionals. It was asserted, by the deaf, the necessity of a interpreter of Libras or health professional that could understand them and that could also be sensitive related to the integration and to the fact of humanizing. We can conclude that there’s necessity of creating strategies and health politics that have as objective consolidate the integration including the deaf people, with the guarantee of an inclusive care, qualified and efficient.

RESUMEN: Se trata de un estudio cualitativo que tuvo por objetivo analizar las necesidades de salud del sordo, apartir del cual surgieron las siguientes categorias : necesidades de salud extrínsicas e intrínsicas. La primera se relaciona con los aspectos educativos o informativos sobre temas específicos de salud, por necesidad de esclarecimiento o por curiosidad; la segunda a la comunicación, que se presenta como el gran obstáculo en el acceso de los sordos a los servicios de salud y que trae como consecuencia la discriminación por parte de los profesionales. Se observó la necesidad de un intérprete de la Libras, o de profesionales de salud que los comprendan y que sean sensibles con su tratamiento integrali y humanización. Concluímos que hay necesidad de criar estratégias políticas de salud que busquem la consolidación de un polo comun incluyendo el ciudadano sordo, garantizandole un cuidado inclusivo, cualificado y eficaz. TERMINOS CLAVE: Investigación cualitativa; Educación en salud; Estudos de linguagem.Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo com o objetivo de analisar as necessidades de saúde do surdo. Categorias emergentes: Necessidades de saúde Extrínsecas e Intrínsecas. A primeira relaciona-se aos aspectos educativos ou informativos sobre temas específicos de saúde, por necessidade de esclarecimento ou por curiosidade; a segunda, à comunicação, como a grande barreira no acesso dos surdos aos serviços de saúde e a discriminação no tratamento efetuado pelos profissionais. Afirmaram a necessidade de um intérprete de Libras ou profissionais de saúde que os compreendessem e fossem sensíveis quanto à integralidade e humanização.
