Resumo: The objective of this essay was to reflect on the body in the scenario of school education. Initially, there was a concern to address how the body phenomenon has been perceived in the school environment. Next, it was highlighted how it has been the subject of extensive discussions in the First Cycle of Elementary Education via the approach of corporeality. The final considerations allow us to reflect that, if we direct our look at the body in school, we will realize that the educational processes still remain rooted in a perspective of wanting to educate the bodies to be agile, strong, beautiful, healthy and intelligent. However, they forget to look at the student who goes to school as a subject with a whole body.

Al principio, existía la preocupación de abordar cómo se ha percibido el fenómeno del cuerpo en el entorno escolar. La continuación, se destacó cómo ha sido objeto de amplios debates en el Primer Ciclo de Educación Primaria a través del enfoque de la corporalidad. Las consideraciones finales nos permiten reflexionar que, si dirigimos nuestra mirada al cuerpo en la escuela, nos daremos cuenta de que los procesos educativos siguen arraigados en una perspectiva de querer educar a los cuerpos para que sean ágiles, fuertes, bellos, sanos e inteligentes. Sin embargo, se olvidan de mirar al estudiante que va a la escuela como una asignatura con un cuerpo entero.O objetivo deste ensaio foi refletir sobre o corpo no cenário da educação escolar. Inicialmente, houve a preocupação de abordar como o fenômeno corpo tem sido percebido no ambiente escolar. Na sequência, ressaltou-se sobre como o ele tem sido sujeito alvo de amplas discussões no Primeiro Ciclo do Ensino Fundamental via a abordagem da corporeidade. As considerações finais propiciam refletir que, se direcionarmos nosso olhar para o corpo na escola, perceberemos que os processos educativos ainda continuam enraizados numa perspectiva de querer educar os corpos para serem ágeis, fortes, belos, saudáveis e inteligentes.
