The spatial dynamics of pluriactivity in family farming

Resumo: | The current organization of the brazilian rural space has transformed because of to the new technologies that have been inserted into the field. In this new scenery the field became a multi-functional space and began to meet different demands and occupations. The general objective of this study is to present a discussion based on the concepts and definitions of pluriactivity in family farming, emphasizing its importance when being carried out by people living in rural areas, since this activity is reorganized in the field and contributes to the income of many families. The specific objectives are: to address the concepts and definitions of pluriactivity in family agriculture in the socio-spatial dynamics of the field; and understand the importance of family farming for the pluriactivity. The theoretical reflections are anchored in the propositions of authors such as: Sérgio Schneider, K. Kautsky e A. Chayanov. Articulated with these orientations on pluriactive activities data on these activities in family farming production were organized to check if there is correspondence between the concept and reality. As we have tried to make evident in the text, it is possible to state that, the pluriactivity is a phenomenon in which farming families traditionally occupied with agricultural activities will develop other activities considered non-agricultural as an income complementation strategy. In addition, many rural settlements can to presente various natural, cultural, and socioeconomic factors, that contribute to the realization of pluriactivity, as: the local tradition, customs and way of life of the rural man, the production categories, agricultural activities and the those not developed in rural areas. En este nuevo escenario, el campo se ha convertido en un espacio multifuncional y ha empezado a satisfacer diferentes demandas y ocupaciones. El objetivo general de este estudio es presentar una discusión basada en los conceptos y definiciones de pluriactividad en la agricultura familiar, Destacando su importancia cuando es llevada a cabo por personas que viven en zonas rurales, ya que esta actividad se reorganiza en el campo y contribuye a los ingresos de muchas familias. Los objetivos específicos son: abordar los conceptos y definiciones de pluriactividad en la agricultura familiar en la dinámica socioespacial del campo; y comprender la importancia de la agricultura familiar para la pluriactividad. Las reflexiones teóricas se anclan en las proposiciones de autores como Sergio Schneider, K. Kautsky y A. Chayanov. Articulados con estas directrices sobre las actividades pluriactivas, se organizaron los datos sobre estas actividades en la producción agrícola familiar para verificar si existe correspondencia entre el concepto y la realidad. Como hemos intentado demostrar en el texto, es posible afirmar que, la pluriactividad es un fenómeno en el que las familias campesinas tradicionalmente ocupadas en actividades agrícolas comienzan a desarrollar otras actividades consideradas no agrícolas como estrategia para complementar sus ingresos. Además, muchos asentamientos rurales pueden presentar una serie de factores naturales, culturales y socioeconómicos, que contribuyen a la consecución de la pluriactividad, como son: la tradición del lugar, las costumbres y el modo de vida del hombre rural, las categorías de producciones, las actividades agrícolas y las no desarrolladas en el medio rural. Neste novo cenário o campo tornou-se um espaço multifuncional e passou a atender diferentes demandas e ocupações. O objetivo geral deste estudo propõe-se apresentar uma discussão pautada nos conceitos e definições da pluriatividade na agricultura familiar, ressaltando a sua importância ao ser realizada por pessoas que vivem no espaço rural, uma vez que essa atividade é reorganizada no campo e contribui para a renda de muitas famílias. Os objetivos específicos tratam-se de: abordar os conceitos e definições da pluriatividade na agricultura familiar na dinâmica socioespacial do campo; e compreender a importância da agricultura familiar para a pluriatividade. As reflexões teóricas estão ancoradas em proposições de autores como: Sérgio Schneider, K. Kautsky e A. Chayanov. Articuladas com essas orientações sobre as atividades pluriativas foram organizados dados sobre essas atividades na produção da agricultura familiar para verificar se há correspondência entre o conceito e a realidade. Como procurou-se evidenciar no texto é possível afirmar que, a pluriatividade é um fenômeno em que as famílias agricultoras tradicionalmente ocupadas com atividades agrícolas passam a desenvolver outras atividades consideradas não agrícolas como estratégia de complementação de renda. Além disso, muitos assentamentos rurais podem apresentar uma série de fatores naturais, culturais e socioeconômicos, que contribuem para a realização da pluriatividade, como: a tradição do local, os costumes e o modo de vida do homem do campo, as categorias de produções, atividades agrícolas e as não desenvolvidas no meio rural.
