Resumo: Extracted part from the author’s monograph which was presented in 2016, this article focuses on translations of the Hungarian book A Pál Utcai Fiúk by Ferenc Molnár into North-American English – The Paul Street Boys, by the translator Louis Rittenberg – and into Brazilian Portuguese – Os Meninos da Rua Paulo, by the translator Paulo Rónai with review and comments from Nelson Ascher. Having the French field of Discourse Analysis as theoretical support, translation aspects as domestication, speech heterogeneity and imaginary of readers are analyzed.

Tomando por base teórica a Análise do Discurso fundada por Michel Pêcheux, são analisados aspectos como domesticação, heterogeneidade de vozes e imaginários de leitores.
