Resumo: Currently, besides being considered like as apparatus supporting platforms for distance education, initiatives of open educational resources and MOOC’s present web technologies that are used to disseminate learning, therefore are responsible for the existence of distance education. Therefore, this study aimed to seek to identify and describe the role of web technologies in open educational resources initiatives and MOOC’s, analyzing aspects of its use in the scope of EaD. To carry out this work the following platforms were chosen: Coursera, EDX, Future Learn, Miríada X, Veduca, Udacity, Khan Academy, Udemy, Canvas, Iversity, Open Classrooms and Open Course World. Data were obtained through a navigation of the same, identifying and describing Web technologies flows platforms. Centered investigations in yet been made Twitter followers numbers, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and YouTube in search of historical updates and watching for study groups on Facebook without consent of the platforms and was also selected to SCOPUS to perform analyzes of the entries the platforms on scientific journal articles. The results were represented in the form of descriptions of platforms, figures outlining the flows and tables to better compreendimento of data obtained from social networks and data tables related to the number of scientific articles. With the results were plotted propositions and reflections on web technologies, flows of platforms, using social networks and terms of platforms, in order to identify what is being used by platforms that are used open educational resources and MOOC's.

Sendo assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar e descrever o papel de tecnologias web em iniciativas de recursos educacionais abertos e MOOC’s, analisando aspectos de sua utilização no escopo da EaD. Para realização do presente trabalho foram escolhidas as seguintes plataformas: Coursera, EDX, Future Learn, Miríada X, Veduca, Udacity, Khan Academy, Udemy, Canvas, Iversity, Open Classrooms e Open Course World. Os dados foram obtidos através de uma navegação das mesmas, identificando tecnologias web e descrevendo os fluxos das plataformas. Ainda foram feitas investigações centradas nos números de seguidores do Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn e YouTube em busca de históricos de atualizações e observando a existência de grupos de estudos no Facebook sem consentimento das plataformas e também foi selecionado a SCOPUS para realizar análises das menções das plataformas em artigos científicos publicados em periódicos. Os resultados obtidos foram representados em forma de descrições das plataformas, figuras esboçando os fluxos, quadros e tabelas para melhor compreendimento dos dados obtidos pelas redes sociais e tabelas de dados referentes aos números de artigos científicos.
