This report presents the events of the IX Book and Library Week at the Federal University of Lavras (VIII BLW/UFLA), which was developed by a multidisciplinary steering committee composed of UFLA University Library’s public servers (BU/UFLA), in partnership with teachers and students of the institution and schools in the city of Lavras, MG. The IX BLW happened on October 20th-24th 2014 and was titled "A look at Chico Buarque’s work". The week program was consisted by interactive lectures, exhibitions, short course, film discussion and musical attractions. The BLW purpose was to unite cultural attractions and academic events, increasingly approaching the University audience to the Week program. Therefore, this event made it possible to spread the honoree’s life and work.
