Resumo: This work aimed to compare the diffusion of CCB preservative in bracatinga (Mimosa scabrella Benth.) and Eucalyptus viminalis Lab. round fence posts when exposed to dip-diffusion method. The pieces were submitted to the concentration of 2; 3.5 and 5% of active ingredients of “Osmose CCB” commercial preservative, during 2, 5 and 8 days. The penetration was analyzed in six positions in the pieces and the retention in three positions in the disks taken in ground contact area in the fence posts fitted out. The increase of treatment time and preservative concentration provided significant gains on penetration and retention of CCB for both tree species. In the work conditions, the eucalypt fence posts showed better response to the treatment.

As peças foram expostas às concentrações de 2%; 3,5% e 5% de ingredientes ati-vos do produto “Osmose CCB”, durante 2, 5 e 8 dias. Foram analisadas a penetração em seis posições nas peças e a retenção em três regiões no disco retirado na posição correspondente à linha de aflora-mento em moirões instalados. O aumento do tempo de tratamento e da concentração proporcionou ga-nhos significativos na penetração e na retenção do CCB nas peças.
