This work evaluated technically a Forest Loader. The operational analysis was done according to the continuous method; the loading operation was split in working cycles. The results indicated that interruptions consumed most of the operational time, i.e., approximately 60% of the total cycle time. The maneuvers consumed 16.50% and loading consumed 11% of the observed total time. Of the total time of interruptions, the unnecessary interruptions consumed 87.5% of the time of interruptions. The forest loader presented operational efficiency of 40%, and a medium working cycle of of 2.15 minutes. The interruption for waiting the truck contributed with 90.8% of unnecessary pauses, therefore actions to reduce the time of waiting interruptions seems necessary.
