Resumo: This article is about paths taken to the collective construction in a methodology of obtaining of theme generator for the teaching of Biology in a rural school. It is about the process starred by students and the research professor, based on the thematic investigation of reality and in the own pedagogic working of the alternation pedagogy: the study plan. As investigation methods, they were used techniques of focal group, interviews and the drawing up of socioenvironmental maps. The data obtained were categorized by students for the identification of theme generators. Among them, “The young people stay in the rural zone by means of increment of technology use” it was selected to critical analysis in the study plan. The developed process allowed to conclude that the investigation of reality to obtaining of theme generators promotes the awakening of leading role played by students and the promotion of critical education of students.

Es un proceso liderado por los estudiantes y el docente-investigador, basado en la investigación temática de la realidad y en la mediación pedagógica propia de la pedagogía de la alternancia: el plan de estudios. Como métodos de investigación se utilizó la técnica de grupos focales, entrevistas y mapas socioambientales. Los datos obtenidos fueron categorizados por los estudiantes para identificar los temas generadores. Entre estos, se seleccionó para problematizar en el plan de estudios “La permanencia de los jóvenes en el campo mediante el incremento en el uso de la tecnología”. El proceso desarrollado permitió concluir que la investigación de la realidad para obtener temas generadores favorece el despertar del protagonismo estudiantil y la promoción de la formación crítica de los estudiantes.Este artigo debate a forma de obtenção dos temas geradores para o ensino em escolas do campo, apontando a necessidade e relevância da participação das(os) estudantes neste processo. Para tanto, discorre sobre os caminhos percorridos para a construção coletiva de uma metodologia de obtenção de temas geradores para o ensino de biologia em uma realidade camponesa, analisando aproximações e distanciamentos entre os temas geradores obtidos a partir da comunidade e a partir da(o)s estudantes. As técnicas usadas foram grupo focal, entrevistas e mapas socioambientais. Os temas gerados pelos diferentes grupos foram congruentes e apresentaram ancoragem na realidade, sobretudo os temas gerados pela(o)s estudantes, expressando as contradições socioculturais existentes na comunidade em que vivem.
