NATURE ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES: AN ANALYSIS FROM THE MAGAZINES LICERE AND RBCE

Resumo: The present article presents an interpretive and critical analysis of the publications on nature adventure activities based on articles published in the periodicals Licere and Revista Brasileira de Ciências do Esporte (RBCE). Initially, the article discusses the concept of nature. The discussion later contemplates what has been published in those journals from a critical point of view, considering two basic issues: the search of adventure and the environmentally-friendly approach of the authors. The environmental issues, as well as brief discussions on the concept of nature were examined in most of the articles, whereas the impacts generated by the activities were contemplated only by a few. Only one of the articles presented a real proposal for environmental education.

Inicialmente, se discutió el concepto de naturaleza. Después, desde una mirada crítica, se analizó lo que ha sido publicado en estas revistas acerca de dos cuestiones: la búsqueda por la aventura y los abordajes ecológicos de los autores. Las cuestiones ambientales, tal como breves apuntes en lo que atañe al concepto de naturaleza, estuvieron presentes en la mayoría de los artículos. Sin embargo, pocos de los trabajos consideraron los impactos generados por las actividades y solamente un artículo presentó una propuesta real de educación ambiental.Este trabalho apresenta uma análise interpretativa e crítica das publicações referentes às atividades de aventura na natureza a partir dos artigos publicados nas revistas Licere e Revista Brasileira de Ciências do Esporte (RBCE). Inicialmente, foi discutido o conceito de natureza. Em seguida, discorre-se sobre o que vem sendo publicado nestas revistas a partir de um olhar crítico sobre elas, partindo principalmente de duas questões: a busca pela aventura e as abordagens ecológicas dos autores. As questões ambientais, bem como breves discussões sobre o conceito de natureza, foram assuntos identificados na maioria dos artigos.
