Resumo: This work discusses the professor in undergraduate theatre studies, from a research made at EBA/UFMG and at UFSJ from 2012 to 2014. The thoughts arising from the observation and the teaching practice in improvisation classes in these universities allow identifying the importance of the professor’s performance as an artist in the classroom, strengthening the student’s experience in the theatrical research and practice.
