Resumo: This text approaches the expression information society and its diverse meanings in the fields of the information and communication technology, focusing on the effects of such technologies in daily life. It argues that in this new informational paradigm the technology does not even reach one third of the poor population, reinforcing the paradigm of segregation and the process of degradation of the social relationship, provoking a gap in the knowledge and information society.
