The Labor Reform, implemented by Ordinary Law No. 13,467 of July 13, 2017, was based on encouraging the formalization of work by reducing business costs, under the justification of encouraging the generation of new jobs. However, it appears that the changes made encouraged the informality of labor relations, a factor that puts the social and economic rights of workers at risk, considering the economic vulnerability of this class. Therefore, given the flexibilization of labor relations and the implementation of precarious forms of contracting, the present work sought to analyze and understand the consequences of the labor reform from the perspective of generating formal employment, essential to mitigate and resolve the problems arising from the aforementioned legislative change. To this end, the descriptive research method, of a qualitative nature, was used through a literature review.
