The present work deals with the effectiveness of the out-of-court agreements involving alimony concluded by DPE-MS (Brazilian’s Public Defender's Office of Mato Grosso do Sul) in the District of Três Lagoas throughout the year 2022. Through an on-site observational research, It has been reputed the existence of a specific service protocol performed by a specialized team called the Support Office was verified, which aimed at the promotion and the valuing of selfcomposition in family actions. The aforementioned service protocol was responsible for promoting a total of 73 out-of-court agreements during the analyzed period, which were subsequently judicially ratified to become judicial enforcement instruments. It was observed that, out of this total, 7 agreements had to be brought before the court for enforcement. The documentary research conducted in this work did not find any information regarding the fulfillment of the remaining other agreements, which, if on one hand prevented a deep analysis of the effectiveness of the protocol adopted by DPE-MS in the District of Três Lagoas, on the other hand highlighted the nedding of the expansion of the refered protocol so it can also also provides mechanisms of post-processual follow-up of the parties involved.
