The cotton crop currently demands a high investment in its technological package of produ ction.Therefore it is extremely important for properties in the industry to possess technical knowledge, due to the high complexity of the culture. In the stage of establishing the crop in the crop is not different, and to achieve success in this phase requires the correct use of pr ecisionseeders, in an attempt to increase productivity. For pneumatic systems with high addedvalue, it is of great importance their maximum utilization, and for that, establishing speed limits. From this perspective, the objective of this study was to evaluate the best speed range of planters, with a pneumatic meter system, in the implantation of the cotton crop in a farm in the municipality of Sinop - MT. The experiment was set up in randomized blocks, with five speeds (5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 km h-1), with four replications. The variables studied were: uniformity of longitudinal distribution (skips, multiple and acceptable), coefficient of variation and final plant population. The results showed that the increase in velocity did not interfere in the uniformity of distribution, and also in the plant population. The coefficient of variation was above the minimum established as ideal for pneumatic.
