The first buildings created by humans date back to the polished stone age (7000 BC – 2500 BC) where man migrates from nomadism to sedentary lifestyle. Since then, there has been a search for improvement in the performance of buildings, which made it necessary to know the causative agents of pathologies, as they are closely linked to a decrease not only in the building's performance, but also its useful life. In this sense, this study presents a survey of pathological manifestations in 27 buildings on the campuses of the University Campus of Araguaia in order to present possible causes and understand their formation process. For this, a case study was carried out through a photographic survey and comparison of the results found with those presented in the bibliography, which enabled the characterization of the pathology found. In addition, tables and graphs were drawn up relating the incidence of these manifestations, showing the most common and also which buildings were most affected by pathological phenomena. It is possible to observe with the survey of data that the most present pathological manifestations were superficial, such as cracks in the mortar, stains due to moisture and infiltration, detachment and discoloration of the paint and molds. Finally, it was observed that in the buildings inspected, most of the problems found could be avoided with periodic maintenance and effective prophylaxis measures.
