This research deals with the immigration of Haitians and Africans to the city of Rondonópolis, from a study on the movement of immigration to Brazil throughout history. In order to understand the adaptation process and the challenges faced throughout this process. The needs of adapting to the new territory make them create configurations, where they carry with them their cultural values and seek forms of organization and social reorganization, thus, we use as a source the interviews in dialogue with bibliographies on the subject, newspapers and magazines that addresses the current situation of these immigrants in Brazil. From the idea of territorialization, we discussed the process of adaptation of Haitians and Africans in Rondonópolis-MT, the challenges faced in relation to issues of work, education, xenophobia and racism. It is concluded that, the adaptation process emerges as a confrontation of the challenges in the new territory, driven by the hope of finding in Brazil a new chance, new perspectives.
