Soybeans over the years have stood out as one of the main sources of production and Brazilian resource, with Mato Grosso as the main producer and exporter state, followed by the state of Paraná. One of the main factors that causes production and sales in the two states to fluctuate over the years is the influence of foreign crops on the price of the Brazilian bag and occasional variations in the climate, which directly affect regional production, thus generating highs and lows in productivity and marketing values. Another important factor in this analysis is the influence of the freight value on the final aggregate of the grain commercialization value. As a result, the objective of this work was to perform a temporal analysis of the price of a sack of soybean in two main producing municipalities in Mato Grosso: Sorriso-MT, Lucas do Rio Verde-MT compared to that practiced in Cascavel-PR. We also tried to assess the influence of factors such as the dollar rate and freight costs. For this purpose, the prices of the soybean sack were obtained through specialized websites for the period between January 2010 and June 2021; the amounts corresponding to the minimum freight provided by ANTT (National Land Transport Agency) from February 2018 to June 2021 and the variation of the dollar rate according to the Brazilian Central Bank. The main results found showed the buoyancy of the value of the soybean sack according to the dollar exchange rate and the American crop of this commodity. The crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic established a new level of trading in Brazilian soybeans, with price increases above 100%. The influence of the freight value left doubts about the accuracy, given the few data obtained so as not to have a historical series that favored the comparison. Within the years analyzed, an influence of it was observed, following the distance and variation of basic inputs such as fuel and parts.
