HYPOTHIC ASPECTS ADDRESSED IN DIDACTIC MATHEMATICAL BOOKS OF THE FUNDAMENTAL YEARS OF FUNDAMENTAL EDUCATION: AN ANALYSIS OF THE CONTENTS

Resumo: This research had as general objective to analyze the approach of the history of mathematics contents presented in the collection of textbooks of mathematics of the final years of elementary school entitled "mathematics in the present day: in the right measure" most used in the teaching and learning process of public network in the districts of the city of São Vicente Férrer / PE. We base our review of the literature on several authors, such as Brazil (1998), Miguel and Miorim (2011), Lopes and Ferreira (2013), Silveira (2015) and others highlighting the relevance of the history of mathematics and textbook for construction of mathematical knowledge. Methodologically, a documentary research with qualitative approach was developed, in which the collection of didactic books titled "Mathematics in the present day: in the right measure" of the final years of the fundamental education of the authors Centurión and Jakubovic (2015), was approved. by PNLD 2017, 1st edition- São Paulo, Leya, 2015. The results indicated that the authors of the textbook collection are limited in their approach to the history of mathematics. And, when it occurs, according to the block of knowledge proposed by Brazil (1998), what stands out most in the approach to historical aspects is that of numbers and operations.

Embasamos nossa revisão da literatura em diversos autores, como Brasil (1998), Miguel e Miorim (2011), Lopes e Ferreira (2013), Silveira (2015) e outros salientando a relevância da história da matemática e do livro didático para a construção do conhecimento matemático. Metodologicamente desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa documental com abordagem qualitativa, na qual investigou-se a coleção de livros didáticos intitulado de “matemática nos dias de hoje: na medida certa” dos anos finais do ensino fundamental dos autores Centurión e Jakubovic (2015), aprovado pelo PNLD 2017, 1ª edição- São Paulo, editora Leya, 2015. Os resultados indicaram que os autores da coleção dos livros didáticos se limitam quanto a abordagem da história da matemática.
