SEI E STEAM: NOVA PROPOSTA PARA ENSINO DA DENGUE E SEU VETOR.

Currently, there is a concern in basic education about the implementation of methodological innovations, especially for the students of the “digital native” generation, which requires more attractive and interactive pedagogical proposals, which must be guided by the competences and abilities of the National Common Curricular Base, together with the State Guidelines of Mato Grosso, aiming to  highlight a real and relevant theme for our students, as presented by SEI - Sequence of Investigative Teaching on the Dengue and its vector. An educational product evaluated by Biology teachers as innovative and attractive, whose methodology is based on active and investigative learning methods (MAAI), applicable through DICT - Digital Information and Communication Technologies. With a view to the evolution of this product, it is proposed the incorporation of the STEAM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), which emphasizes student protagonism, improving the learning meaning in High School. As a result, we have the referred SEI incremented by the approach in which there is a significant correspondence with legal documents, research and application of proposals in the classroom that showed the development of scientific and critical thinking, strategic decision making, as well as curiosity, that leads to inquiry learning. Thus, we aim to disseminate this proposal as a didactic support accessible to teachers, with possible application to students, since it would be an opportunity to have more attractive, interactive, meaningful and integrative classes, aiming at knowledge and the possibility of fighting Dengue, emerging disease in the State of Mato Grosso.
