Resumo: This dissertation submits a qualitative research performed in a public school's middle school and approaches building up the pedagogue's musical knowledge and the implications of musical culture in the first years of middle school. The research splits up in tree chapters, of which two are dedicated on debating about how to acquire knowledge and the contributions from various areas of knowledge that can supply subsidies in interdisciplinarity for a specific theory of construction of knowledge in musical terms. Even though considering music as a knowledge that has it's own articulated, intermediated contents in culture. The third chapter will bring musical concepts and the musical experiences from teachers that have participated in this research and how their different life experiences were achieved by interviews and written narratives that idnetifies this school sphere. In this interaction, judgement values, building up musical know-how and the usage of music in everyday scholarship are present. The results achieved by occasion in field research are analyzed by bibliographical research.

The results achieved by occasion in field research are analyzed by bibliographical research.Esta dissertação apresenta uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada em no espaço de uma escola pública de ensino fundamental e aborda a construção do conhecimento musical do professor unidocente e as implicações na cultura musical escolar dos primeiros anos do ensino fundamental. A pesquisa se divide em três capítulos, dois dedicados ao debate sobre os processos de aquisição de conhecimento e as contribuições de diversas áreas do conhecimento que, de forma interdisciplinar forneceram subsídios para uma teoria específica da construção do conhecimento em música. Além de considerar a música como conhecimento que possui conteúdos próprios, articulados e intermediados na cultura, a escola neste trabalho será considerada como um sistema cultural, que agrega as muitas experiências sociais e culturais. O terceiro capítulo trará as concepções de música e as experiências musicais dos professores que participaram da pesquisa, bem como as suas experiências vivenciadas em diferentes momentos da vida foram feitas através de entrevistas e narrativas escritas para que se pudesse verificar o papel destas na construção de uma cultura musical que identifica essa esfera da escola. Nessa interação estão presentes juízo de valores, construção de conhecimento em música e a utilização da música no dia-a-dia da escola.
