Resumo: This article makes a bibliographical review of works that narrate experiences of the Student Movement to locate, within this movement, the processes of occupation of the school. The main argument is that the occupations of schools carried out in Brazil, in 2015 and 2016, have connections and continuities from other actions, of the same nature, in other Latin American countries, especially in Chile and Argentina. The approximations are given by common characteristics of the Latin space and by particular phenomena of the student movement that show a continued tradition in the analyzed cases. Finally, when indicating such articulations, we seek to emphasize, in the common characteristics, educational and training potential of the occupations of schools.
