Resumo: | This research is based on studies of neuromathematics and researchers such as: Dreyfus (1991); Harel and Sowder (2005); Leikin et al (2014) and Alvarenga (2020). The data was collected from tests answers that was applied in the 1st year of high school in 2021, with the main objective of reviewing the content of the previous year, because these students studied remotely, due to the global health crisis caused by COVID-19. The main objective of this research has been to investigate mathematical mental constructions of the high school students. The answers were analyzed according to the theoretical model proposed by Alvarenga and Domingos (2020), adapted, refined and discussed by Study in Mathematics Education Group. Some answers and the mental processes expected for the resolution are presented and those presented by the respondents are indicated too, for example: connecting previous experiences, use of language adequate mathematics, argue textually without mathematical language, and translate mathematical language into original language. |

Some answers and the mental processes expected for the resolution are presented and those presented by the respondents are indicated too, for example: connecting previous experiences, use of language adequate mathematics, argue textually without mathematical language, and translate mathematical language into original language. Universidade Federal do ParáCNPq, Universidade Federal de GoiásAlvarenga, Karly BarbosaNascimento Rocha, Caiode Carvalho, Pedro Paulo Teodorodos Reis Soares, Misael Josaphade Abreu Lima, Júlia2022-12-29info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufpa.br/index.php/revistaamazonia/article/view/1350110.18542/amazrecm.v18i41.13501Amazônia: Revista de Educação em Ciências e Matemáticas; v. 18, n. 41 (2022): Ahead of print; 176-187Amazônia - Journal of Science and Mathematics Education; v. 18, n. 41 (2022): Ahead of print; 176-1872317-51251980-5128reponame:Amazônia (Universidade Federal do Pará.
