Resumo: Observing the impacts of the modernization process on the daily lives of people who lived in Rio de Janeiro city at the beginning of the twentieth-century, or recalling his childhood in a small town in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, it is that Carlos Drummond de Andrade constituted what in this thesis we call as his everyday poetry. It is related to a lyric that not only chooses ordinary life as its theme, but also adopts a language that seeks to make us feel this everyday life. From these observations, we seek to know which are the main images of everyday life found in Drummond's poetry and how the everyday life is represented. The Research was based specially on studies related to modern poetry. (AUERBACH; BAUDELAIRE; BENJAMIN; BERMAN; FRIEDRICH; PAZ, etc.), in readings of the main critics of the work of Carlos Drummond de Andrade (CANDIDO; MERQUIOR; SANT’ANNA; LEITE; VILAÇA; etc.) and, as regards specifically the representation process, in the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce (PEIRCE, SANTAELLA, FERRAZ JR., etc.).

Il s’agit d’une lyrique qui pas seulement choisit la vie courante comme thème, mais aussi qui employe une langage en tâchant à nous entraîner le sentiment de ce quotidien. À partir de ces remarques, on cherche savoir lesquelles sont les images principales de tous les jours rencontrées dans la poésie de Drummond et de quelle manière le quotidien est representé. La recherche s’est soutenue surtout par des études sur la poésie moderne (AUERBACH; BAUDELAIRE; BENJAMIN; BERMAN; FRIEDRICH; PAZ, etc.), des lectures de critiques principaux de l’oeuvre de Carlos Drummond de Andrade (CANDIDO; MERQUIOR; SANT’ANNA; LEITE; VILAÇA; etc.) et, en ce qui concerne spécifiquement le processus de représentation, la sémiotique de Charles Sanders Peirce (PEIRCE, SANTAELLA, FERRAZ JR., etc.).Observando os impactos do processo de modernização no dia a dia das pessoas que viviam no Rio de Janeiro do início do século XX, ou rememorando a sua infância, vivida numa pequena cidade mineira, é que Carlos Drummond de Andrade constituiu o que nesta tese denominamos a sua poesia do cotidiano. Trata-se de uma lírica que não só escolhe a vida corriqueira como tema, mas que também adota uma linguagem que busca nos fazer sentir esse cotidiano. A partir dessas observações, buscamos saber quais as principais imagens do dia a dia encontradas na poesia de Drummond e de que forma o cotidiano é representado.
