Resumo: This study aims at identifying the network of social support of a user and family upon a follow-up in a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS). It consists of a subproject of the research named Evaluation of Psychosocial Care Centers from the southern region of Brazil, carried out in a CAPS of Porto Alegre having as subjects a user and a relative. It is a qualitative research of case study type that utilizes the Calgary Model of Family Evaluation. The collection of data provided the construction of the genogram and of the eco-map. The analysis involved structural, functional and development evaluations. The bonds of the user and his relationships within the micro and macro family space were identified by showing the networks of social support and the functions that they perform in the user´s daily life. The social support networks appear as an important therapeutic resource because they make it possible to offer a treatment addressed to the life of the subject, considering his culture and they also broaden care actions.

Consiste en un sub-proyecto de la investigación acerca de la Evaluación de los Centros de Atención Psicosocial de la Región Sur de Brasil, realizado en un CAPS de Porto Alegre, tiendo como sujetos una dupla usuario/familiar. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, del tipo estudio de caso, en que se utiliza el Modelo Calgary de Evaluación de Familia. La recolección de datos propició la construcción del genograma y del ecomapa. El análisis envolvió las evaluaciones estructural, funcional y de desenvolvimiento. Fueron identificados los vínculos del usuario y sus relacionamientos en el micro y macro espacio familiar, mostrando las redes de apoyo social y las funciones que desempeñan en el cotidiano del usuario. Las redes sociales de apoyo aparecen como recurso terapéutico importante, visto que posibilitan un tratamiento vuelto a la vida de la persona, considerándose su cultura y, también, amplían las acciones de cuidado.Este estudo objetiva identificar a rede de apoio social de um usuário e família em acompanhamento em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS). É um subprojeto da pesquisa Avaliação dos Centros de Atenção Psicossocial da Região Sul do Brasil, realizado em um CAPS de Porto Alegre, tendo como sujeitos uma dupla usuário/familiar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, tipo estudo de caso, utilizando-se o Modelo Calgary de Avaliação de Família. A coleta de dados propiciou a construção do genograma e do ecomapa. A análise envolveu as avaliações estrutural, funcional e de desenvolvimento, identificando-se os vínculos do usuário e seus relacionamentos no micro e macro espaço familiar, mostrando as redes de apoio social e as funções que desempenham no cotidiano do usuário.
