Resumo: This is a qualitative research that had as objectives understanding the care experience lived by the family members in the home context on their relationship with the nurse and describing a theoretical model which explains the actions and interactions performed by them within this context. The Symbolic Interactionism was used as theoretical referential and, as methodological referential, the Data Grounded Theory. With this study, it was possible to comprehend how the actions and interactions between nurse and family happen within the home context, i.e., the need of the nurse labor, the relationship established through care actions and the visualization of the nurse work and performance as a professional.

Se ha utilizado como referencial teórico el Interaccionismo Simbólico y, como referencial metodológico, la Teoría Fundamentada en los Datos. Con este estudio fue posible comprender como ocurren las acciones e interacciones entre la enfermera y la familia en el contexto domiciliar, o sea, la necesidad del trabajo de la enfermera y la relación desarrollada por intermedio de las acciones de cuidado y la visualización de su labor y desempeño como profesional.Esta é uma pesquisa qualitativa que teve como objetivos: compreender a experiência de cuidado vivenciada pelos familiares no contexto domiciliar em sua relação com a enfermeira e descrever um modelo teórico que explicite as ações e interações desenvolvidas por eles neste contexto. Utilizou-se como referencial teórico o Interacionismo Simbólico e como referencial metodológico a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados.
