Resumo: | Knowledge of educational costs can assist public managing, especially in decision-making on allocation and planning, as well as being an important tool that can facilitate social control of public resources. Thus, this article aims to estimate the real cost-student of municipal schools in Curitiba and to analyze possible disparities between the values practiced. The calculation is an estimate of the real cost-student and refers to the amount aimed to the payment of education professionals. It was made using the microdata of the payroll along with those of the 2013 School Census. The analysis considered the total of 379 schools, as well as divisions by levels of education. The results showed that there is a large difference in the cost-student value between schools, and that the levels and modalities could influence this difference. When analyzing the costs by arrangement of levels, it was possible to observe that although the variance between the values of the cost-student decreased, the difference was kept, indicating the existence of other influencing elements besides the education levels. |

Dessa forma, este artigo tem o objetivo de estimar o custo-aluno real de escolas municipais de Curitiba e analisar possíveis disparidades entre os valores praticados. O cálculo é uma estimativa do custo-aluno real e refere-se ao montante destinado ao pagamento dos profissionais de educação. Foi realizado utilizando os microdados da folha de pagamento juntamente com os do Censo Escolar 2013. A análise considerou o total de 379 escolas, assim como divisões por etapa de ensino. Os resultados mostraram que há uma grande diferença no valor do custo-aluno entre as escolas e que as etapas e modalidades poderiam influenciar essa diferença.
