New aesthetic horizon: notes on intentional construction in Brazilian short films

Resumo: Another language emerges in the Brazilian short films scenario. Using a hybrid narrative, the directors shape the filmic form according to a particular ideal of representation. Therefore, we start with Noël Carroll's concept film of presumptive assertion, and we analyze the short films Deus (2016), by Vinícius Silva and Magalhães (2018), by Lucas Lazarini. We observe the positioning of subjective action pointed to an assertion of the contemporary world. Next, we list new qualities inaugurated on the construction of the image in each one of the works, according to the observations of the theory.

Utilizando-se de uma narrativa híbrida, diretores moldam a forma fílmica de acordo com um ideal de representação particular. Parte-se do conceito do cinema de asserção pressuposta, de Noël Carroll (2005), para análise dos curtas-metragens Deus (2016), de Vinícius Silva, e Magalhães (2018), de Lucas Lazarini. Observa-se o enquadramento da ação subjetiva apontado para uma asserção do mundo contemporâneo e listam-se as novas qualidades da construção da imagem em cada uma das obras.
