State-of-the-art: bibliometric study of scientific production on conceptual modeling in the museological field

Resumo: The state of the art is a type of documentary research, which allows understanding the approach to knowledge regarding a given topic and developing a study based on what has been published in a specific area of interest. This article discusses the state of the art in scientific production regarding conceptual models in the museological field, delimited within the scope of searches indexed in the Scopus database. As a methodology, it uses bibliometric studies, identifying the most covered topics, the keywords used, the researchers who are discussing the subject, and authorial collaboration. The research has a time frame of the period 2016-2021. The searches were carried out using three fundamental strategies: “Museum Data Modeling”, “Museum's Conceptual Models” and “CIDOC”. A total of 571 documents indexed in the Scopus database were analyzed. Among the most covered subjects, those dedicated to cultural heritage, museums, ontologies, semantic web, and metadata stand out. The results allow us to obtain a conceptual theoretical framework for the representation of art collections.

Este artículo analiza el estado del arte sobre la producción científica en torno a modelos conceptuales en el campo museológico, delimitado en el ámbito de las búsquedas indexadas en la base de datos Scopus. Como metodología utiliza los estudios bibliométricos, identificando los temas más tratados, las palabras clave utilizadas, los investigadores que están discutiendo el tema y la colaboración de los autores. La investigación tiene un marco temporal del período 2016-2021. Las búsquedas se realizaron utilizando tres estrategias fundamentales, “Museum Data Modeling”, “Museum's Conceptual Models” y “CIDOC”. Se analizaron un total de 571 documentos indexados en la base de datos Scopus. Entre los temas más tratados destacan los dedicados al patrimonio cultural, museos, ontologías, web semántica y metadatos. Los resultados permiten obtener un marco teórico conceptual sobre la representación de colecciones de arte.O estado da arte é uma modalidade de pesquisa de caráter documental, que permite entender a abordagem do conhecimento a respeito de um determinado tema e desenvolver um estudo com base no que foi publicado em uma área específica de interesse. Este artigo aborda o estado da arte sobre a produção científica referente a modelos conceituais no âmbito museológico, delimitada no âmbito das pesquisas indexadas na base de dados Scopus. Como metodologia utiliza o estudo bibliométrico, identifica os tópicos mais abordados, as palavras-chave utilizadas, os pesquisadores que estão discutindo sobre o assunto e a colaboração autoral. A pesquisa tem um recorte temporal do período de 2016-2021. As buscas foram realizadas a partir de três estratégias fundamentais: “Museum Data Modeling”, “Museum's Conceptual Models” e “CIDOC”. Foi analisado um total de 571 documentos indexados na base de dados Scopus. Entre as matérias mais abordadas destacam-se aquelas dedicadas a patrimônios culturais, museus, ontologias, web semântica e metadados.
