A importância do lúdico para o ensino de matemática nos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental

The mathematics teaching was always marked by the difficulty that people, in their big majority, feel in understanding and applying their concepts in a practicaland a realway. That becomes worse in the first years of the Elementary School when the students need to appropriate of concepts, many times, starting from the abstraction. Based onthese ideas, this article has as objective identifies the importance of games and playings in the mathematics classes of the beginning years as didactic-pedagogic resource. Methodologically, it is a bibliographical and interpretative research. In theoretical terms, the discussions are anchored in specialists of the area as Starepravo (2009), Smole, Diniz and Cândido (2007), besides documents as PCN of Mathematics (1997), among others. At the end of the study, it was concludedthat the use of the ludic in the teaching and learning process contributes in a significant way in the cognitive and even affective development of the student, stimulatingthe logical reasoning, a very important aspect in all of the school stages.
