Avaliação do estado nutricional e da composição corporal de adolescentes escolares do município de Lagarto/SE

Resumo: Introduction: The nutritional evaluation and body composition of adolescents allows to characterize the nutritional profile of this population which is vulnerable to the influence of the media and social circles that usually encourage bad eating habits. Objective: to identify school children with nutritional risk and discriminate the composition of fat and lean body mass. Material and methods: The anthropometric measurements were measured body weight, stature, skinfold subscapular and triciptal to estimate the nutritional status and body composition. The data was analyzed by Statistical Package for social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0, through the Fisher exact test. Results: Among the evaluated, 1.81% (n = 1) was with thinness, 89.09% (n = 49) presented nutritional status of eutrophy, 7.27% (n = 4) were overweight, 1.81% (n = 1) with obesity, and there is none of the participants identified with severe obesity, all individuals were with stature suitable for age 100% (n = 55). Regarding the percentage of body fat, 89.90% of the evaluated, 1.81% and 1.81% were classified as low and very high, respectively, and 7.27% classified as high. Conclusion: Although many participants were in eutrophy, high percentages of body fat were observed.

Objetivo: Identificar o estado nutricional e identificar o percentual de gordura corporal de adolescentes escolares. Materiais e métodos: As medidas antropométricas aferidas foram peso corporal, estatura e dobras cutâneas subescapular e triciptal, para estimar o estado nutricional e a composição corporal. Os dados foram analisados pelo programa Statistical Package for social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0, através do Teste exato de Fisher. Resultados: Entre os avaliados, 1,81% (n=1) se encontrava com magreza, 89,09% (n=49) apresentaram estado nutricional de eutrofia, 7,27% (n=4) estavam com sobrepeso, 1,81% (n=1) com obesidade, não havendo nenhum dos participantes identificados com obesidade grave, todos os indivíduos encontravam-se com estatura adequada para idade 100% (n=55). Quanto ao percentual de gordura corporal, foram classificados como adequado 89,90% dos avaliados, 1,81% e 1,81% como baixo e muito alto, respectivamente e 7,27% classificados como alto.
