Resumo: This is a study about “Cinema and International Relations: Importance of Indian Cinema”. Indian cinema, like India itself, is recognized for its diversity, which has recently come to attract attention from communities beyond India. The country's film industry is divided into the various languages that make it up, resulting in rich and diverse types of cinema, the main ones being Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali, reflecting the multiplicity of Indian culture and the representation of these peoples. through his films. The aim of this research was to analyze the importance and diversity of Indian cinema and classify it by its main characteristics. The methodology used in the work was a bibliographic review, using theoretical material such as books, figures, theses and other information about Indian films and their cultural industry.

A indústria cinematográfica do país divide-se nas diversas línguas que o formam, o que resulta em ricos e diversos tipos de cinema, sendo os principais o cinema hindi, tamil, telugu e bengali, refletindo a multiplicidade da cultura indiana e a representação desses povos por meio de seus filmes. O objetivo da presente pesquisa foi analisar a importância e diversidade do cinema indiano e classificar por suas principais características.
