Resumo: | The main objective of this article is to reflect on the causes that lead to the absence of black women in the literary canon, also having as reference Law 10396/03 and the National Directive for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations in Afro History and Culture. -Brazilian and African,. for understanding the need for teachers engaged in ethnic-racial re-education. In order to achieve this objective, a bibliographic research was carried out, taking into account the authors who have focused on the studies of this theme, especially in the book "Vozes insurgentes de Mulheres Negras", organized by Bianca Santana, which makes a survey of several outstanding black women in the history of Brazilian art and literature. In addition, some names of black women and their respective works were taken as references, to represent the importance of Afro-descendant women's literature in history. They are: Esperança Garcia, Maria Carolina de Jesus, Maria Firmina dos Reis and Conceição Evaristo, who point to the relevance of rescuing the culture of black identities in Brazil. |

Para alcançar esse objetivo, foi realizada uma pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico, levando em consideração os autores que têm se debruçado sobre os estudos desta temática, em especial no livro “Vozes insurgentes de mulheres negras”, de organização de Bianca Santana, que faz um levantamento de diversas mulheres negras marcantes para a história da arte e literatura brasileira. Além disso, tomaram-se como referências quatro nomes de mulheres negras e suas respectivas obras, para representar a importância da literatura feminina afrodescendente na história.
