The dance is an activity that has artistic and educational character for providing physical and mental health, with the purpose of enabling the corporal perception (PRADO 2009). Encouraging dance for people with disabilities who use a wheelchair or not, values ​​a body that has meanings and symbols, being understood from another point of view, both in relation to the body itself and in relation to the dance, undoing the idea that there is some type of body privileged to dance (FREIRE, 2001; PRADO, 2009). Any type of body can dance from the adaptation of the composition of the scenic space and the dancing body (FERREIRA, 2002). Dance is an art of expression and corporal communication that includes the movements performed in the physical structure of the wheelchair or not, thus providing motor learning, body image and quality of life, besides allowing creation and artistic interaction with the corporal efficiency of each one (FREIRE, 2001; TEIXEIRA-MACHADO, 2011
