Resumo: INTRODUCTION: Asthma is an airway inflammatory chronic disease, with heterogeneous course. It has a high prevalence in pediatrics population in Brazil, and it is an important cause of hospitalization, with high incidence. OBJECTIVE: Assess the epidemiological profile of hospitalizations for Asthma in Brazil’s Public Healthcare system (SUS) in patients with 0-14 years old between January/2013 and December/2022. METHOD: Descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative study, with data from a public platform, which was gathered between January/2013 and December/2022. The data was processed by descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, with the Shapiro-Wilk test, ANOVA and Tukey, and was processed by simple linear regression model. Analysis was made by Software R, version 4.0.3. RESULTS: The study obtained an average of hospitalization rate of 129,9 / 100.000 population, with bigger rates at 0-1 years-old, followed by 1-4 years-old. From the region standpoint, it was noted a larger rate in the Northeastern region, followed by the Mid-West region. There was a preference for the masculine gender. Mortality rate from these hospitalizations wavered according to the age group, with a larger rate at the group from 0-1 year-old. The average cost per hospitalization was R$576,30, with progressive growth. CONCLUSION: The present study shows that the Asthma hospitalizations are still pretty incidents in the pediatrics, with high morbimortality and high costs associated. It was showed a higher incidence of hospitalizations between 0-1 year-old and 1-4 year-old, in the Northeastern region and among masculine population.
