Resumo: This present historic research will abroad counterculture context and it's resonances in "Tropicália" movement, between 1968 and 1971, period wich referencee to Civil-Military Dictatorship in Brasil. Placed on counterculture's field and it's interfaces at Brazilian Popular Music, this paper's goal is to identify characteristics from the "Tropicália" that classify it as a counterculture movement from Brasil. On the way to archive our proposed objectives, the following peaces were used: "Brutalidade Jardim: a Tropicália e o surgimento da contracultura brasileira" (2009) by Christophen Dunn; "Cultura Brasileira: Utopia e Massificação (1950-1980)" (2020) by Marcos Napolitano. Finalizing, it's possible to conclude that the Tropicália represents, between plural and authentic characteristics, a regional expression of the counterculture from the years of biggest repression during the Brazillian Dictatorship.

Situada no campo da contracultura e suas interfaces na Música Popular Brasileira, o objetivo da pesquisa se dá pela identificação dos traços que caracterizam a Tropicália como uma apresentação da contracultura no Brasil. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, foram utilizadas as seguintes obras: “Brutalidade Jardim: a Tropicália e o surgimento da contracultura brasileira” (2009) de Christopher Dunn; “Contracultura, entre a curtição e o experimental” (2019) de Celso Favaretto; “Cultura Brasileira: Utopia e Massificação (1950-1980)” (2020) de Marcos Napolitano.
