RESUMO: Este artigo reflete sobre o diálogo dramático na estrutura da peça de ato único que, despojada de alguns elementos, defini-se pela supressão de partes e pelo deslocamento de alguns componentes do drama convencional. Para isso, há um breve resgate de importantes dramaturgos europeus do século XIX, que se valeram dessa forma dramática, a fim de se chegar à contemporaneidade do monólogo dramático A lei é a lei (1977), do dramaturgo português Luiz Francisco Rebello. Luiz Francisco Rebello.        ABSTRACT: This article reflects on the dramatic dialogue in the structure of one act play which, stripped of some elements, defined by the suppression of the parties and the displacement of some conventional components of the drama. For this, there is a brief recovery of important European playwright of the nineteenth century, which was based on the one act play, in order to explore the contemporary dramatic monologue A lei é a lei (1977), the playwright Portuguese Luiz Francisco Rebello.
