Leitura. Intertextualidade. Tradição. Mulher. ABSTRACT: This article discusses two reading issues observed in the poetic works of Ana Cristina Cesar: the impasse regarding the definition of a certain literature as female/feminine, and the constant presence of intertextuality in the poet's work, which may become a labyrinth of references for the reader. Understanding these two issues not separately, but each impasse as a possibility of exit for the next, the article aims at a creative approach to both issues. What we propose is a reading of aspects of the intertextuality in Ana Cristina's work as a particular mode of reading, characteristic of a feminine view upon a mainly masculine literary tradition. With the aid of works by Luce Irigaray and Simone de Beauvoir regarding feminine language and woman's negative constitution, we seek to understand how this Brazilian poet of the late 1970s and early 1980s creates a poetic dialogue with voices of the literary tradition, reproducing and recontextualizing central works, creatively cutting slits and inserting her own feminine voice. As an example of this process we will analyze more intently the poem “Ulysses”, published in the 1985 posthumous collection Inéditos e Dispersos. KEYWORDS: Poetry. Reading. Intertextuality. Tradition. Woman. |
