RESUMO: O presente artigo analisa a peça Lisbela e o prisioneiro (1960), de Osman Lins, e o filme homônimo (BRA, 2003), de Guel Arraes. O objetivo é demonstrar de que modo o texto literário, mais de 40 anos depois, apresenta questões pertinentes à sociedade do século XXI. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e de análises comparativas entre a peça e a adaptação fílmica, o estudo destaca o perfil do personagem feminino, a associação entre as artes, a metalinguagem e, principalmente, o regionalismo, que, no filme, serve de instrumento para enfatizar a brasilidade no contexto global. Tais características respondem à heterogeneidade motivada pela globalização e correspondem aos conceitos de empoderamento feminino, multiplicidade e relação interartes, que delineam o perfil da sociedade contemporânea. Multiplicidade.   ABSTRACT: The present article analyzes the play Lisbela e o prisioneiro (1960), by Osman Lins, and the homonymous film (BRA, 2003), by Guel Arraes. The objective is to demonstrate how the literary text, more than 40 years later, presents pertinent subjects to the society of the 21st century. Through bibliographical research and comparative analyses between the play and the cinematographic adaptation, this study detaches the feminine character’s profile, the association among the arts, the metalanguage and, mainly, the regionalism, that, in the film, emphasizes the Brazilianism in the global context. Such characteristics answer to the heterogeneity motivated by the globalization and correspond to the concepts of feminine empowerment, multiplicity and interartistic relationship, that integrate the profile of the contemporary society.
