Resumo: RESUMO: Este artigo propõe-se a demonstrar pontos de contato entre o poema “Visio” – da obra Crisálidas, de Machado de Assis – e o Romantismo. A importância do trabalho também se revela pela carência de estudos da obra poética machadiana, já que sua obra em prosa tenha despertado maior interesse ao longo dos tempos. O poema aqui discutido oferece meios para entendermos aspectos relevantes da obra em verso de Machado. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Machado de Assis. Poesia. Romantismo. Transição.        ABSTRACT: This article aims to show points of contact between the poem “Visio” – of the work Crisálidas, by Machado de Assis – and Romanticism. The importance of the article also revels the lack of studies of Machados’s poetry, because his prosework has aroused more interest over time.
