RESUMO: Jorge Amado, um dos maiores autores de nossa literatura moderna, teve muitas de suas obras transpostas, com enorme sucesso, para a linguagem televisual. O presente trabalho traçará uma trajetória da vida deste autor, explorando suas influências e situando-o historicamente no movimento literário brasileiro ao qual pertence. Fará também uma breve apresentação de suas obras, que hoje fazem parte também da história da teledramaturgia brasileira, explorando algumas possibilidades de geração desse sucesso. Por fim, este trabalho visa deter-se no encontro de duas linguagens que travaram um diálogo estético fecundo e bem sucedido entre nós: a literatura de Jorge Amado e a teledramaturgia brasileira. Teledramaturgia.        ABSTRACT: Jorge Amado, one of the greatest writers of our literature, had some of his works translated into the language television, and these adaptations were generating huge success in terms of audience. This paper will trace a trajectory of the life of this author, exploring their influences and situating  it historically in  Brazilian literary movement, and make a presentation of his works translated into the language television through the television drama, exploring some possibilities for generating such a success. Finally, this paper aims to identify the happy and harmonious meeting of two languages they caught a successful aesthetic dialogue: a literary language of Jorge Amado and Brazilian soap operas.
