Resumo: RESUMO: Este artigo tem por objetivo principal analisar comparativamente o conto poeano William Wilson (1843) e o romance saramaguiano O homem duplicado (2002), desvelando a paródia de Saramago em relação à narrativa de Poe, especialmente no que concerne aos mitos e à função do narrador. Narrador.      ABSTRACT: This article aims chiefly at analyzing comparatively Poe’s short story William Wilson (1843) and Saramago’s novel The double (2002), unveiling Saramago’s parody towards Poe’s narrative, mainly in what concerns myths and the narrator’s function.
