RESUMO: O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar a multimodalidade em blogs para o ensino-aprendizagem de língua portuguesa. A pesquisa fundamenta-se teoricamente nas considerações sobre a multimodalidade (KRESS; VAN LEEUWEN,1998; DIONÍSIO, 2011) e na teoria das matrizes da linguagem e do pensamento (SANTAELLA, 2005). A metodologia segue uma abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa, adotando procedimentos de seleção de blogs educacionais, levantamento dos conteúdos e análise da multimodalidade com base nas matrizes da linguagem e do pensamento. O corpus da pesquisa compõe-se de 05 (cinco) blogs educacionais que publicam conteúdos sobre língua portuguesa,selecionados na internet. Os resultados da pesquisa revelam que a multimodalidade dos blogs analisados dá-se pelo hibridismo das matrizes sonora, visual e verbal da linguagem, com predominância da matriz verbal, sobretudo das modalidades descritiva e dissertativa. Conclui-se que os elementos multimodais enriquecem os textos dos blogs educacionais, acentuam o seu caráter didático e contribuem para o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de língua portuguesa. Língua portuguesa.   ABSTRACT: This research aims to analyze multimodality in blogs for teaching and learning Portuguese. This research is theoretically substantiated in considerations about multimodality (KRESS; VAN LEEUWEN,1998; DIONÍSIO, 2011), and the theory of the matrices of language and thought (SANTAELLA, 2005). The methodology follows the qualitative approach of research, adopting procedures such as the selection of educational blogs, content survey and the analysis of multimodality based on the matrices of language and thought. The research corpus is composed of 05 (five) educational blogs that publish contents about the Portuguese language selected on the internet. The research results revealed that multimodality in the analyzed blogs happens because of the hybridism in the verbal, visual and sound matrices of language, with predominance of the verbal matrix, especially on the descriptive and expository modalities. It is concluded that the multimodal elements enrich the texts in the educational blogs, accentuate its didactic role and contribute to the process of teaching and learning the Portuguese language.
