Resumo: | This article presents a research results about Work Life Quality perceptions of public schools professors, after the public scholar reformulation in 1996. This is descriptive research that adopted the strategy of comparative study of cases, in a qualitative-quantitative approach. The instrument of data collection explores three variables categories: dimensions of the task, individual-organization integration, and organizational factors. Twenty half-structuralized interviews had been carried through and applied 142 questionnaires. The first conclusion is that the professors are moderately satisfied with the general WLQ. In relation to the dimensions of the task and the individual-organization interaction the professors had demonstrated moderate satisfaction. The category organizational factors demonstrated the dissatisfactions of the professors with the inadequate conditions of work and its increasing depreciation. Significant differences between the schools had been observed in the individual-organization interaction. The remuneration, the performance of the Government and the union had shown the biggest dissatisfactions sources. |

The remuneration, the performance of the Government and the union had shown the biggest dissatisfactions sources.Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa acerca da percepção de professores de escolas públicas, quanto à Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho, após a Reforma do Ensino de 1996. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, que adotou a estratégia de estudo comparativo de casos, em um enfoque qualitativo-quantitativo. O instrumento de coleta de dados explora três categorias de variáveis: dimensões da tarefa, integração indivíduo-organização, e fatores organizacionais. Foram realizadas vinte entrevistas semi-estruturadas e aplicados 142 questionários. Concluiu-se que os professores estão moderadamente satisfeitos com a QVT geral. Em relação às dimensões da tarefa e a interação indivíduo-organização os professores demonstraram satisfação moderada. A categoria fatores organizacionais demonstrou insatisfação dos professores com as inadequadas condições de trabalho e sua crescente desvalorização. Diferenças significativas entre as escolas foram observadas na interação indivíduo-organização.
